An upright clump with flattened leaves that begin as deep green with red highlights in spring. Red deepens in the fall and turns a bright scarlet red with first frost. Burgundy red seed heads bloom late summer and persist into winter. Reaches 5-6 feet tall and 2 to 4 feet wide.
