Forms a low mound of gray-green, narrow foliage with leaves that twist slightly at the end. The nodding buds look like snakes at the tips of stems , before they straighten to form 1.75"-2" rounded clusters of light amethyst purple flowers. Blooms for about a month. Performs best if soil is dry during summer dormancy. Deer and Rabbit resistant.
