Similar to Common Milkweed but less aggressive. Plants in the Asclepias genus are the exclusive hosts to Monarch Butterfly eggs. If you plant Milkweed, you're sure to see Monarchs and their larva. Grows to about 3 ft. tall and 2 ft. wide WITH wide with large oval pubescent leaves. Fragrant spikey pink flowers form clusters atop sturdy stems June through August. The flowers turn into 2-3 in. long golden seed pods in fall. Hardy to -40°F MAX. ELEVATION 7000 FEET
