Consort Black Currant
A very productive selection of sweet-tart medium- sized black fruit that ripen late in the summer. Fragrant flowers in spring and wonderful orange- red fall color. Also proven be very disease resistant. Ripens late in the season, black fruits with strong flavor, medium in size and borne in clusters. The plants are very productive, immune to white pine blister rust, and only moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. Developed by Agriculture Canada at Ottawa, Ontario in 1952.
Green Mound Alpine Currant
Dwarf and dense, growing just 2-3 feet tall. This shrub is very tough and withstands harsh conditions. It makes an excellent hedge.
Red Lake Currant
Irregular, slender spreading branches form a rounded shrub. White flowers in mid-spring are followed by bright red edible berries amongst green rounded leaves.
Yellow Flowering Currant
Broad, rounded shrub with small, fragrant, bright yellow flowers in late spring, followed by black berries in late summer. Leaves turn a beautiful scarlet in the fall.
